Cute Pets

Cute Pets is for players who want company and a bit of personality in their world rather than extra machinery. If you like taming, collecting and making things your own, there are 16 pets to find and a wardrobe to dress each one in. It works in single player and multiplayer.

You tame them in the world, the same way you would tame a vanilla mob. Each pet lives in its own biome and has a favourite food, so part of it is knowing where to look and what to bring. The in-game guidebook lists where every pet spawns and what to feed it, and once tamed they follow you everywhere.

Mostly they are companions, and that is the point of them. Some pets will defend you if something attacks, while others stay peaceful and simply follow along, so it depends which ones you tame. There are also small interactions and gameplay items like Pet Treats, but they are there to bring your world to life rather than to automate it.

You craft them and put them on your pets: 34 accessories in all, including 12 hats, 5 full outfits, wings, tails, capes and 4 glowing auras, plus seasonal items. They are purely cosmetic, so nothing gets stronger, it is about making each pet look the way you want. You can mix and match freely and change them whenever you like.

Pick Cute Pets if you want companions to tame, dress up and take with you. Pick Cute Golems if you want helpers that actually work for you, mining, farming, building and enchanting. Pets are about company and character, golems are about getting jobs done, and plenty of players run both.
