Who is Sky Quest for?
Sky Quest is for players who want a story to follow rather than a sandbox to build in. An undead army has torn the world apart and the islanders need a hero, so you go from person to person, take on what they ask and piece the world back together. If you like adventure maps with quests, puzzles and a plot, this is the one.
What do you actually do in Sky Quest?
You talk to the islanders and take on their requests, and those requests chain into the story of what broke the world. Between them you solve puzzles, some doors need a plan rather than a sword, and you fight back the undead army that is still out there. It comes with 2 skins, and the world, the builds and the monsters are all custom made.
How long does it take to finish?
It depends how fast you work through the quests, but it is a real adventure with several hours of play in it rather than something you clear in one sitting. The story runs the length of it, so the pace is set by how quickly you take on what the islanders ask.
Is it just Minecraft with a map on top?
No. Everything in Sky Quest is custom made, the builds, the textures and the monsters included, so it does not look or play like a normal Minecraft world. It is a purpose-built adventure rather than survival with decoration.
Is this a world or an add-on?
It is a world. You download it and play on it as its own map, so it does not go into a world you already have. An add-on goes into your world, a world does not. You will need Minecraft Bedrock 1.16 or later.
Can I play it with friends?
Yes, Sky Quest can be played by up to 2 players, so you can go through the story with someone rather than alone. Sharing the quests changes how you split up the puzzles and the fights.
Which platforms does it work on, and how do I get it?
Sky Quest is on the Minecraft Marketplace for 1170 Minecoins, and works on Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, iOS and Android. It is a one-time purchase and we keep updating our worlds, so future updates are included.
Sky Quest or Dark Rooms, which one should I pick?
Both are built adventures with their own story, so it comes down to the mood. Sky Quest sends you out among the islanders, taking on quests and solving puzzles to put a broken world back together.
Dark Rooms is horror, a descent through five floors where the tension does the work. Pick Sky Quest for the story, Dark Rooms to be unsettled.
